What is Injective?
Injective (INJ) is a Cosmos SDK blockchain purpose-built for decentralised finance. Unlike general-purpose smart contract platforms, Injective includes native modules specifically designed for financial primitives: a fully on-chain order book (not AMM-based) for spot trading, perpetual futures, and binary options, as well as oracle integration and cross-chain bridges to Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystems.
Injective achieves high performance using Tendermint BFT consensus - the same used by Cosmos - with transaction finality in about 1 second and fees of fractions of a cent. Its EVM compatibility (via Injective EVM) allows Ethereum developers to port their applications.
